Corn Storage – New Structure
Beginning with the 2026 corn harvest, the following storage fees and conditions will apply:
14-Day Grace Period: All corn placed into storage will receive a 14-day grace period. If the corn is sold within this period, there will be no storage charges or inbound elevation fees.
Charges After the Grace Period: Any corn remaining in storage after the 14-day grace period will be subject to the following charges:
- Inbound Elevation Fee: A one-time charge of $5.00/mt.
- Daily Storage: $0.135/mt per day, calculated retroactively from the original date of delivery.
- Minimum Storage: There is no minimum storage charge for corn.
Soybean Storage
Soybeans delivered for storage during the 2026 crop year will continue to be subject to the previous storage policy. Which is as follows:
- All soybeans placed into storage will receive a 14-day grace period. If the grain is sold within this period, all storage charges will be waived.
- If soybeans remain in storage beyond the 14-day grace period, daily storage charges will apply retroactively from the original date of delivery.
- A 60-day minimum storage charge will apply to all soybeans remaining in storage beyond the 14-day grace period, regardless of when the grain is subsequently sold or removed. For example, soybeans sold on day 30 will still be subject to a minimum of 60 days of storage charges.
Producers Drawing Corn from Storage
Producers may draw dry corn from their storage at any time. For any corn drawn from storage that is not subsequently sold to Lockie Farms, an outbound fee of $13.00/mt will apply. The applicable inbound elevation fee and daily storage charges will also apply.
Deferred Payments
Farmers may sell their grain at any time and defer payment to a future date or agreed-upon payment period. A written deferral agreement outlining the specific terms and conditions of the deferred payment will be prepared and signed by all parties. All deferred payment arrangements will be completed in accordance with applicable Agricorp regulations.
